  • Descrizione: Manousos and Zafeiris own a lumber business and one day land a very good job. So Manousos leaves for Athens in order to buy the necessary tools as well as to propose to Eleni on behalf of his friend. He finds out, however, from her cousin Katina, that she has already married. In the meantime, he falls in love with Katina, but she doesn’t tell him that she has a twin sister, a singer in a nightclub. One evening, he sees her sister at the harbor, running away from her boyfriend, and he thinks she is Katina, but he doesn’t say anything. When he returns to Crete, he tells Zafeiris the particulars, but the latter doesn’t believe him and decides to go to Athens too. A few days later, he comes back , accompanied by Katina, whom he intends to marry without, of course, knowing that she is still in love with Manousos. Conflict seems inevitable, but it is averted thanks to the beneficent intervention of the village schoolteacher. Katina returns to Athens; Manousos realizes his mistake and follows her – and almighty Eros prevails for good.
